Tualatin

Tualatin is a city of about 28,000 in Washington County, wedged between Tigard to the north and Sherwood to the south along the I-5 corridor. Its defining civic landmark is the Tualatin Commons — a 19-acre promenade centered on a three-acre lake, surrounded by shops, restaurants, a hotel, and public plazas. The Commons functions as the city's de facto downtown, hosting the Century Hotel, Brix Tavern (lakeside Northwestern cuisine at 8187 SW Tualatin-Sherwood Rd), and DOJA Tea Lounge (modern tea house and Asian fusion at 18674 SW Boones Ferry Rd on the lake).

A short drive south on I-5 sits Bridgeport Village, a 465,000-square-foot open-air lifestyle mall with about 75 shops and restaurants including Shake Shack, Fogo de Chão, California Pizza Kitchen, The Container Store, and Saks Fifth Avenue OFF FIFTH. Bridgeport is technically in Tualatin and underwent a $35 million refresh in recent years. The city library and Tualatin Community Park are adjacent to the Commons.

Tualatin's dining scene also includes La Sen Vietnamese restaurant, Aloha Grill & Hawaiian BBQ, and La Industria Tex-Mex. The city is served by TriMet bus routes 96 and 97, with WES Commuter Rail accessible one stop north in Tigard.
