The actual purchase experience of our 2022 Buick Encore GX was very smooth, however, we discovered shortly after purchasing the car that the sales people had lied about the car's condition and what kind of "inspection and readying the car for sale" had been done. I have always purchased 3rd party inspections for used vehicles when purchasing private party or smaller "auction flip" dealerships, but as this was a large and reputable dealership I was assured that all of their used cars for sale were looked over in depth to ensure their safety and general suitability for driving and that this was a thorough and strict standard type of process. Eager to get my teen back on the road who had been without a car for a month, we purchased the car trusting their word, understanding yes this is a used car but not expecting it to have major problems the very night we drove it home. The first immediate problem we noticed after parking it overnight was an oil leak, which we were concerned at first was a gas leak as it smelled strongly of fuel. I drove it right back to the dealership where the service guy looked me straight in the eyes and told me it was perfectly safe to drive and nothing was wrong except a "tiny oil leak" but wouldn't tell me the cause. We've since had a 3rd party confirm its a stripped drain plug from overtightening over time, and will likely need an entirely new oil pan, and the engine was over a quart low on oil. The dealership has had this car for months, they certainly knew this. We also discovered several other items that again this dealership would have known, in looking over the car, and simply failed to fix before putting it on the market. I did get a good deal on the car which is the only reason this is palatable in the least. However, I feel the need to write this review to explicitly call out deceitful practices on the part of the sales team. If vehicles are not thoroughly inspected, and made ready for general sale without any major immediate issues with the cars, then they should say this honestly. After I purchased it the service guy scoffed when I mentioned the "inspection" the sales team assured me was done and said, "yeah all they do on these is an oil change and a detail". For what its worth, this dealership cannot be trusted on the condition of their vehicles used. You cannot take them at their word that they have inspected each car and ensured that it 'meets their standards' and then rely on how long they've been in business as proof of their integrity. Regardless what they state or claim, you'll unfortunately have to just not trust them and get your own 3rd party inspection. The name Cadillac and the fancy branding doesn't mean a thing.

bought a used car w the help of Navid, this process was streamlined, professional, they were fair on the trade-in value, overall, great experience! Zack, their finance guy was amazing, the easiest experience we’ve ever had when dealing with that process. He was Super smart, professional and capable, I highly recommend this dealership!

Skylar Hibsch was outstanding. She knew I was interested in a special car and she followed up with me to let me know when it would arrive. After I saw it, she kept it parked in the same place, fully wrapped, until made the decision to buy it a couple of days later. She then showed up on her day off to close the deal! Luckily, she did the same thing for another customer, so I didn't feel too bad! The only feedback I would have for Cadillac of Portland is to have a form where the customer agrees that certain things were performed in the delivery process, like offering to show me the features of the car. Many high end brands that I purchase do that, so I was surprised that Cadillac did not. They simply handed me the keys. That's all good with me, cuz I like figuring things out on my own, but that wouldn't work too well for some technically challenged people, especially given the depth of the technology. I even figured out a few things that a friend who has owned this car for two years didn't even know. Of course, I know Skylar would bend over backwards to show me the features if I asked, but they should proactively offer that service. Still 5 stars, though! Just friendly feedback and to encourage future customers that are reading this to ask.

Updated Review: The service experience was initially very frustrating due to poor communication, repeated delays with the headrest repair, and difficulty reaching anyone at the dealership, but the service representative later addressed the issue and personally delivered my vehicle back to me, which I appreciated, and I am updating my rating from 1 to 4 stars in recognition of the resolution while still hoping the dealership improves its communication going forward. Previous Review: I recently had one of the worst service experiences ever at this Cadillac dealership. I scheduled regular service for my Escalade IQ and also asked them to address an issue with the headrest. They completed the regular service and told me the parts for the headrest were ordered. I trusted them and scheduled another appointment once the parts were supposedly in. I dropped off my vehicle for the headrest repair, but the dealership never communicated with me about the status. After two days of silence, I reached out myself, only to be told that the parts had to be ordered again and that I would need to schedule yet another appointment. This was extremely frustrating and completely avoidable. It got even worse when I tried to pick up my vehicle. They did not answer my calls, did not return any of my messages, and offered no explanation for the lack of communication. The level of unprofessional behavior was unbelievable. Overall, this has been the worst experience I have ever had with a dealership. I expected far better service from Cadillac.
