I’d give 10 stars if that were an option! I’m not the sugar-coating type, so this is an honest review of the outstanding service, knowledge, and overall experience I’ve received. I own a 1990 Ford Crown Victoria and previously had quite a bit of work done at another shop. I’m not saying they did a bad job, but they definitely didn’t give the car the attention it truly needed. It felt like they noticed other issues beyond what I brought it in for but chose not to go the extra mile. Some shops just don’t like working on older cars, I guess. But Derek, the head mechanic at Heavy Metal Motors, is all about old cars and his knowledge is seriously impressive. The things the other shop told me they couldn’t do (or that maybe nobody could do) was no problem for Derek. What really stood out to me was that he didn’t just explain things over the phone with a vague “it looks like this or that.” Instead, he brought me under the car and showed me exactly what needed attention and why. That level of transparency and honesty is rare. If you have an older car and want someone who will treat you fairly and genuinely care about your vehicle, Derek at Heavy Metal Motors is your guy. I won’t be taking my car anywhere else. Cheers Derek and Ryan! You guys rule!
