Worst electric company I’ve had to deal with. Can’t maintain service even under normal conditions.

Absolutely criminal raising rates like they do. My 985 sq ft apartment costs $300-350 a month for electric when I used to live in a 3 bedroom house with pacific power and I never paid more than $150 a month. They supposedly put me on a 20% discount program and yet my bill hasn’t changed at all. Then what, try to divide up my past due over the next 12 months so just add another $60 to the $350 bill I already can’t pay. I can’t believe people have the audacity to work for this place and enforce this shit

It is criminal how they are conducting themselves as a utility company. It is illegal to shut off someone's power with trying to make direct contact first and sending a written shut-off notice. Yet they just shut off my sister's power with no call, or text, or letter. Then when you call to work it out find out they have been charging the overdue balance multiple times over the past three bills. I call B.S. on any sort of clerical error. They shut people's power off then demand triple the amount that was due. They should legally be providing better repayment options for low-income individuals but they won't work with you like they used to. I remember back in my twenties if you got behind and almost got shut-off you could arrange to split the amount over the next year so you could reasonably catch up but not anymore. We are talking about utilities here! Power is essential and you all certainly get enough tax credits to not hold people hostage and extort money!

Hey PGE, thanks for the notice that you will shut my power off on Christmas Eve. This single mom was already enjoying scrambling to pay your massive rate hikes, and this is the cherry on top. I hope your CEO and board members enjoy a lavish holiday, while people like me are struggling to heat their homes and keep the Christmas lights on. Don't worry, I'm about to call you and give you your money as soon as I'm done writing this review. I'm so glad I didn't spend that money on food or present for my children.

I moved from my apartment complex in early April and still was told to pay a bill that was electricity used by the new tenant. I asked to have that reimbursed or credited since it was not my use and was told it “wasn’t their problem”. Customer service is very poor with PGE- I expect to have 25 dollars returned to me since it was not my usage and this can be confirmed by my apartment complex itself- when people are already struggling with the cost of living, a large company such as PGE, who I paid on time in full for 4 years, should have at least some morals and return money taken from someone who did not use their services. Very disappointed. CEO makes 7 million in 2023 and the company is continuing to steal from us 🙄 absolutely ridiculous
