We have been customers of Peter’s for well over 30 years. They have kept our many Volvos and Land Rovers running. From maintenance to major repairs they have always been ontime, on budget and courteous. We have received help from Peters by phone on several long trips. We can’t imagine going anywhere else. Their absolute honesty is also appreciated. They never oversell what needs to be done.

More reviews on GoogleTold me I needed a brake job but I couldn't afford the labor so went out and bought the parts myself. Took the pads off and still had 3-6 months good life on em. Shook it off as I've been a regular customer for a few years. Went back because my wipers weren't working. Paid $150 for the diagnostic to be told there was a recall on the wipers so I go to the dealer, they do the repairs, wipers still aren't working. Call Peter's who tell me I need to pay for another diagnostic. Dunno if they were just trying to lose a customer or if this is common practice for getting repeat business but I would recommend getting second opinions on work being done there. Unfortunately, I also bought a car from them that only made it six months before breaking down which repairs were more than the value of the car. UPDATE: Please remove my name from your review. If you noticed, I don't have it publicly listed and that's a reason. Also, if you noticed I put I RECENTLY found this information out. Which is why this review took so long. I drove the car I bought with the check engine light because I was in the middle of nowhere 45 minutes outside of Bend with my child and dog. I was lucky to make it to a rest area. And I did call the manufacturer, which I told you, because they kept redirecting me to the shop that initially did the diagnostic. How long does it take to do a diagnostic and find out there's a recall? Not much I'd imagine. The lack of responsibility on your part and the blaming of customers in your other review responses speaks volumes. I was once told AT YOUR SHOP that being a mechanic is hard because if you fix a machine to perfection, you lose business. I should have paid more attention rather than the thousands of dollars you've made off of my trust and ignorance over the last few years. Update 2025: haven't thought about these people in years and got this nasty email today. what a way to run your business...
💯 Checks all the boxes. Excellent service, honest & fast. Always love working with this team! Their communication is great, they don't talk down to me or use vague terms. They listen when I have concerns and address them. Their estimates on time & cost are usually spot on. They just finished replacing the turbo in our XC90 and they had it ready a week earlier than we expected! Thank you Quinn!
I’ve taken my 2009 Volvo V-7 to Peter’s for yearly routine service, and it’s always been fine, but I was truly impressed with their mechanics when my car developed a problem in early summer, 2025. “Check Engine Now” the dash light read, and, boy, was it necessary. After a quick inspection, Peter’s mechanic showed me the problem: a huge mound of gray sawdust-like matter covered part of the engine. It was a rat’s nest, and rats had begun chewing through engine wires. I wondered if the engine (and my aged Volvo) could even be saved. An hour later, the mechanic had cleaned off the nest, replaced all the damaged wires, and told me the car was ready to go for thousands and thousands of future miles. And the repair cost was very modest. So, for routine service or weirdly unexpected car problems, I’d strongly recommend Peter’s.
I cannot say enough about Peter's Auto Works! I have been taking my cars there for several years and have ALWAYs experienced excellent customer service, a more than fair price, quality work, and peace of mind. With everything there is to worry about in the world these days, you can always count on the friendly crew at Peter's to take good care of you! I really rely on my car and I trust them completely with all my service needs. Plus, they have an adorable shop dog!♥️
