The small group weight training classes are the perfect balance of community and individualized attention. I love knowing there’s always a coach there making sure I’m lifting safely and progressively building strength. It gives me confidence to push myself without worrying about getting hurt. Dan, Jonathan, and Anna have been incredible partners in building my health over the years. They genuinely care, they pay attention, and they create a welcoming environment that keeps you coming back.
I’ve been doing the small group strength training classes at Woodslawn Fitness for three years, and it’s the first gym I’ve ever stuck with consistently. The small group format creates a sense of accountability, and seeing the same familiar faces each class makes a huge difference. The coaches are incredibly kind, pay close attention to form, and I’ve built noticeable strength over time. I primarily train with Coach Anna, who brings a fun, casual, and supportive vibe while still pushing you to grow, and every coach remembers you by name. It’s a welcoming gym that genuinely helps you get stronger and keep showing up.
This gym has been an absolute gift! I'm 36 and took about 3 years off serious exercise. I needed a supportive container where I could have accountability and enough inspiration to come back and the small group strength training offered exactly that. What Woodslawn offers is worth every penny! The coaches are very supportive and attentive. After only about 4 months, I'm stronger than I've ever been and I would have never pushed myself as hard as I have if not with this support!
I started going to Woodslawn Fitness about a year ago. After working with a personal trainer for several years, I decided to try their small group classes and ended up loving them. I’ve really found the joy in working out with a community again. What I appreciate most is how welcoming they are, especially if you’re new to fitness or feeling a little intimidated about starting. The coaches are all amazing and really pay attention to each person. They explain everything clearly, offer modifications when needed, and make sure you feel comfortable no matter your experience level.
