Went for my first time yesterday and received so much help from the owner as I was searching for some infant pants that actually fit my XL baby! I will definitely be coming back!

Sweetpea’s is on my weekly kids consignment rotation and I rarely leave empty handed! I almost always find something for my son. Great selection of clothes, shoes and toys. Largely thanks to Sweetpeas, I’m able to dress my son in almost exclusively secondhand clothes. It makes my eco-conscious loving heart very happy!

We have been going to sweetpeas for over a year, it is the first place we use to shop for our daughter's seasonal clothes, we also sell our clothes here. They are very meticulous in checking the clothes they will receive to sell and so in the same manner when you buy clothes they are in great shape. Prices are higher, it's true but they are typically really good brands that if well taken care of can be resold. We like to know that our clothes are not ending up in landfill or donated to goodwill for profit. The money stays local.

So this one's a doozy. We shopped in this store several times, and a couple of months back my spouse came in and 'donated' some of the clothes we no longer needed. I put the word 'donated' in quotes because when they accept items you bring, you get a store credit. It is recorded in their system and assigned to your name. Just the name, no phone # or emails. It was the first time she took clothes anywhere other than Goodwill, and she remembers the experience well. Today my wife went there to shop and wanted to use the credit. The person at the counter said there is no credit on the record. They have her name in the system, but there no credit associated with it. According to their history she only shopped there, but never donated. The person in store called the owner, who said that a mistake with their system "impossible", implying that my spose is messing with them. The language they used implied that at best my spouse made a mistake ("Maybe you donated somewhere else?"), or at worst that she was trying to take advantage of their store. My spouse isn't one to make a scene so she just left, but the attitude and the whole experience really upset her. A bizarre and unpleasant experience. Not the kind of business I want to have in our neighborhood.

I enjoyed shopping here because I appreciate having access to used baby clothes and because the store is well organized. I do wish they would lower the prices if possible on the clothes. I got a couple of newborn pajamas and a hat and an outfit and somehow spent over $60. I would likely end up spending more money here if the prices were cheaper and I felt I was getting a deal. I could likely have gotten what I got for brand new if I was shopping the sales from brands like magnetic me and halo. Still, I’m glad this store is here and hope they stick around!
