We had a halloween reception here and it was perfect. Everything you need. Chris and the staff have outstanding customer service. Get the walk in walk away wedding package and it’s so easy, we rented the extra space down stairs and it gave me the bride and the groom a space to take a few breaths and look at each out and process that we really did it. It was priceless and so thankful for it. It also gave our daughter a place to take a break when she was not feeling so well with a headache. Our guests list total was 49 and everyone got with room for a DJ, dance area and Photo Booth. We did food buffet style and had a bartender. It was such a good success. I highly recommend. We got married at the Oaks Pioneer Church and did our reception here and it went hand in hand so well. Once we have the professional photos back I will share them here. Thank you Smile Station!

I did a DJ gig for a wedding reception there and it was a beautiful space for the event.

We had our wedding reception here in 2021 and we were so impressed! It is affordable and really easy communication from the venue owners. They let us have our space to do what we wanted and rented it to us for the whole day. 10/10 recommend if you are having a smaller wedding and want somewhere indoors with a cute outdoor space as well.

My husband Barry and I recently celebrated our wedding with a reception at the SMILE Station. We are both incredibly happy with the whole experience. Chris Timberlake, the manager of the SMILE Station, is so friendly, professional and helpful. Chris was always quick to respond and available to answer all of our questions. We had an initial tour of the facility with Chris, and she even made arrangements for us to tour the facility again when our caterer wanted to see the facility layout in person. Chris made sure the tables and chairs were all set up correctly and set with the tablecloths. It made decorating for the party so easy. The venue itself is amazing. With recent renovations the interior is completely brand new and beautiful. We had 75 guests at our reception. There was lots of room for the guests, the buffet line, the bar, DJ and dance floor. I was somewhat concerned there would be enough street parking, but it wasn’t an issue at all. There was plenty of easy, convenient parking for everyone. My husband and I are so happy with our experience and we highly recommend the SMILE Station for your special event!

We rented the top floor of the SMILE station for a wedding reception for our 60+ guests. Chris Timberlake had spent an hour previously helping us to visualize set up for both the chairs and the food. It was clean, light, cozy with the fireplace burning, and there was space to spare for seating. I had concerns about parking, so those other than guests parked by Sellwood Middle School, about 4 blocks away. this was to assure access for the elderly ( room for 4 cars on one side of the building, 3 on the other)We had no problems. The giant refrigerator easily held our 14 in diameter/ 18 inch high cake. There is no freezer, so we used a large ice chest both to transport food to and from, as well as our ice chest in the kitchen, and had plenty of fresh ice available for drinks and a large tub to keep cans cold. It only took a small Bluetooth speaker to provide background music. The wedding was at Oaks Pioneer Church, and very close by. The rental of the station allows for a large span of time, so we came in the morning, set up and decorated. Many people had time to go home and change or relax, then head to the church which the base is a 3 hour rental. It needed almost no decoration, it was already lovely. People needing to travel to the reception site allowed for a small space to get food ready, as we served food buffet style. As this was my first wedding to help plan in such detail and we only had about 2 months start to finish, assistance by people like Chris, and our helper at the church, Marion, along with my stalwart friends were invaluable in making it a success!
