I just ran into an older man who travelled a long distance to this church seeking help, and he told me that the pastor who told him to show up decided last minute that he actually could not help. Was unable to even give him $5 for food. The institutions that claim to represent Jesus Christ are phony at best and violently destructive at worst. Have food + cash on hand if you’re telling people to come by, you have the resources. This is shameful

Although the church itself is very beautiful and I love every Catholic church, I did not personally enjoy the Sacred Heart parish. I found the pastor and the congregation to be irreverent--they were even speaking to each other about sports during the homily. The worst offense, however, is that I was denied communion on the tongue for "COVID concerns". It was 2024, 4 years after the start of COVID, and I was literally the last person in line. It is not reasonable to deny the faithful communion on the tongue. Unfortunately, despite how beautiful the church is, I will not be coming back.

Father Bob is a literal Godsend to our parish. Delivering Gospel with relativity and conviction. My great grandparents, the Atzbergers, joined Sacred Heart parish waaay back in the day. Mid 1900's, I believe? From Atzberger, to Kelner, to Raschio, to Chully, to Berness, to Boyd. My family has generations of fond memories of our beloved Sacred Heart. Thank you, Father Bob. ❤️
