Check engine light on. Only needing to clear this to pass Deq in my 2009 mini. Spent 4k on parts that did not resolve issue. You would think Goerge would advise we are not sure if part will fix issue or replace a non faulty part. Even replaced my oil that was already replaced 1 Month ago, did not even ask. Did not even credit this after all the money spent for nothing. He last said this is all he could do and take it to dealership.
George and his team are hands down fantastic. They were our go to Mini place for 7 years. He was always reasonable, trustworthy, and even future mechanics after we moved out of state have mentioned how well he documents his work (somehow in the car computer). His experience from his days of performance racing show through, but do not skew to making you feel forced to do "best of best parts" but rather understands what level of driving you do and makes recommendations ultimately leaving any purchase up to you. I've even contacted him about looking into purchasing a replacement spare tire that I had thought was missing. Turns out everything was there, just not where I thought it was, he confirmed with a photo in a text message everything is there and ready to go, and did not charge us for his expertise. He could have very well knowingly ripped us off there without my knowing at all. Honest to goodness good people. Will forever and always recommend them to any Portlander or Mini driver passing through. Runs his shop well, cleanly, and even has 3D printers there for his employees to use as a work-perk as it's a hobby he enjoys too. Miss this shop and George's conversations. George is fantastic. He truly knows what he's is doing regarding BMW's. His 25 years experience and "BMW specialists " on the outside of the building is not "click bait ". More importantly he truly cares about the customer. The communication,honesty and integrity is second to none. George will send photos and text messages to let you know what's going, the status of the work. Will reach out to you after the work if he hasn't heard from you to ask about the car. I know that the work done on my car has been done correctly and professionally. After my second or third conversation with George I told him "I think I found my new mechanic " every interaction and work done since then has confirmed that.
George and team did a great job in diagnosing and repairing the lower control arm bushings and coolant leak on my 2015 Mini Cooper Countryman. Their communication throughout was excellent. They kept me updated when the bushing repair turnend out to be much more difficult than expected and worked diligently to minimize then resulting additional costs,
First time using a new shop in 10 years and was nervous having someone else working on my new to me BMW 528i wagon. Took it in for a rear sway bar, coil-overs and general check up. George text with issues he noticed and what needed immediate attention. Came through as quoted with suspension and had them do a complete brake job as well. They set the height on the coil-overs perfectly and super happy with the level of service and attention to detail George and the team provided me
