I’ve been here before and will continue to come here. Reasonable prices, the staff are friendly and do a fantastic job at communicating updates. They didn’t have the tires I needed in stock but were able to get them and return my vehicle on the same day.
We thought our 2006 CRV had a bad constant velocity (CV) joint. We called round several places, including Honda dealership, a few mechanics in Wilsonvile, Beaverton and Portland. all of them gave us their estimates. Also they told us that they would charge us additional fees for the diagnostic upfront before working on our car. Affordable Tire & Brake is the only mechanic that offered us free diagnostic with the lowest estimate. So we decided to take our car to them. They listened carefully our concerns and tested/checked our car thoroughly. After their inspection, they told us that our CV joint didn't need any repair/replacement. We really appreciated their honesty and thorough job.
Chris, Will and the entire team took great care of me and my vehicle. I had a tire that couldn't be patched and they showed me some replacement options that were less expensive than what I was expecting. It is always great to work with a shop that has a team you can trust. Thanks for getting me back on the road!
This review is specifically for DEQtoo. It was so easy. I pulled in with no appointment required and was there less than 10 minutes. They walked me through filing online and then I was off. No more DEQ lines!! Thank you for making it so easy!!
Yet another positive experience at Affordable. I'd say more than positive this time. I have a 2003 Honda Pilot that has over 330,000 miles on it. I absolutely love my car, and Affordable has been working on her since the day I got her. I started going to Affordable Tire & Brake for tires and brakes back in 2000, I believe, when I had Volvos and a strictly Volvo mechanic whom I loved. But then when I got my Pilot in 2011, I transitioned to having Affordable do all of my mechanic work in addition to my tires & brakes. They work on my husband's Toyota Tacoma as well. They are honest, straight forward, and kind...and do great work. For this recent experience, I took my car in because the engine light & ATM-4 sensor light had come on. They figured out the issue, let me know I had some other work overdue that would be much less expensive labor wise to do now while the car is already apart in the same area, and then gave me options. On top of that, they did some extra work for me that was longstanding from a small accident, that didn't *have* to be done, and that I was going to do on my own. However, since the car was currently disassembled, I brought them the parts that I had already purchased, and they finished it for me, saving me several hours of labor. Win win! I have been a happy customer for 26 years now.
