Having visited several facilities nearby our home it's remarkable how well maintained, managed, and accessible to the community at large the Multnomah County Library network is for our diverse population. Truly an invaluable public resource were tax dollars are spent in favor of the county's continued education. We say the public library is as important as potable water!

Nice plave to meet local caring people with families in the the neighborhood while picking up your book you sent there or if you have library oriented questions. Usually a very thoughtful selection of lqbtq, social justice oriented,how to garden, cook, and comics to choose from. Always ready to help. Its kinda like a free bookstore in your neighborhood where the people who love it make it better.

As libraries go, it's pretty small. I don't know that I'd every come here to browse for a book, as they're not likely to have it given the selection. However, being part of the library system, it's great for getting books sent to from other libraries, all for free. I can't actually speak to it, but it very often has a large number of children participating in something, so it may be a good place to bring your kids.
