I’ve worked with Corbin on and off for several years, and he is truly an exceptional trainer. He has a deep understanding of form and movement, and he explains his approach in a way that’s both thoughtful and easy to understand. His motivation is consistent, and he takes the time to individualize each workout so you’re challenged in the right way. He is always watching my form, tracking my progress, and aligning sessions with my specific goals. On top of that, he’s just a genuinely great guy to train with. I can’t recommend Corbin highly enough.

More reviews on GoogleAs a professed 'non-gym' person, I have to say that Lone Fir has converted me. Never did I think I would feel comfortable in, (let alone enjoy!) the types of group fitness classes that Lone Fir offers, but after the $30 trial, I was absolutely hooked. The instructors are all so supportive and welcoming, and helped me go from a floppy noodle to more of an al dente noodle in a few short months, all while building my knowledge and technique around strength training and offering lots of different classes to keep things interesting. I worked with Sarah for a few personal training sessions- she's incredible! I can't recommend this studio enough.
I've been a member of four different gyms in my life and this one is my favorite. Small class sizes with very connective instructors (Tan, Ash, David, etc.) they curate the workout for you, give timely feedback, and ultimately engage in a process that is fun! There are also personal training options, three different rooms for activities, many different classes, open gym time, etc. If you are looking for an engaging atmosphere, this is your place.
Lovely gym full of very nice people who are all encouraging your fitness goals. My new favorite class that they’ve added this quarter is TECHNIQUE, which was a very small class devoted entirely to a single lift. It really helped my form and I’ve enjoyed putting the lessons Ash taught to use in the other classes. You also get a discount at the coffee shop across the way, so from a certain perspective, you’re saving money when lifting those kettlebells! Great facility, lovely owners, caring and helpful staff. Focus is on compound movements over machines, plus Pilates, yoga, nutrition, and private training.
Easily the best gym in Portland! I searched for the perfect gym when I moved to the city and I settled on Lone Fir Fitness after visiting almost every gym in the area. They offer a really great mix of amazing classes and are always introducing new workouts. On the down day, they also give access to open gym sessions to members! The trainers are inspiring and full of knowledge!
