I have brought two vehicles here on three separate occasions for repairs that I was unable to do at home. I do most of the maintenance on my vehicles and rarely visit a mechanic. The service at John's has always been as discussed with transparent and frequent communication regarding the diagnosis and progress of the work. My most recent visit involved a more complicated diagnosis to address a lean mixture code. The mechanic spent the time to check the major systems and the shop staff spent extra time talking with me about the history of the issue and previous repairs all in an effort to properly diagnose the issue. The mechanic identified the issue as a faulty, aftermarket MAF sensor. I doubt many other shops would have gone to this much trouble to properly address the issue before throwing parts at a difficult to address check engine light problem. Last, the shop took the time to pop out a substantial dent in the front bumper cover that I did not ask them to do but was sorely needed. I was thoroughly impressed that they took the initiative to fix an eyesore on the vehicle and did not charge me for the work.
