I paid $3,688 to Honest-1 Auto Care Stark to fix a power steering problem. Before the repair, my steering was fine. After they worked on it, the wheel was dangerously loose. A technician even admitted there were tool marks on the universal joint, suggesting the damage happened during their repair. When I asked for help, management said they couldn’t find the part to fix it and told me I could try to find it myself if I really wanted it repaired — clearly hoping I would just give up. Weeks went by with no updates, and when I called, staff became aggressive and hung up. My vehicle remains unsafe, and the shop refuses to take responsibility. Their work was careless, their communication nonexistent, and their customer service appalling. **Avoid this shop at all costs — they will leave you with a worse, dangerous vehicle and no solution.**

More reviews on GoogleWe had a great experience with these guys. We were visiting from Seattle when the brake pads on my CR-V started making an awful noise. I called Honest1 around 4:30 PM on Saturday to see if they could take a look since we were supposed to leave the next day. They told me to bring it in and they’d check it out. Long story short, the brake pads were completely worn down. They kept the car over the weekend (they’re closed on Sundays) and said they’d do everything they could to have it ready first thing Monday morning. By 10:30 AM Monday, it was ready to go. Doug was incredibly kind and understanding about the situation. Honest1 was accommodating, fast, and fairly priced. Highly recommend.
I had purchased a Groupon for a fully synthetic blend oil change. They told me that my car uses fully synthetic, which according to them isn’t what is meant in the Groupon, then charged me another $67 on top of the $72 I spent on the Groupon. No mention of this up charge when purchasing. I find it hilarious they are called Honest1. 1 star for me.
These guys are rip off. Charged me $800 to store my car for three weeks. While I got the money together to pay for the repair. Then tried to charge me $2230 to repair brake pads and rotors after having not completed the initial repair to begin with. They claimed the initial damage, which he fixed, had made it so changing the brakes and rotors was required. At which point he said the cost to repair the brakes and rotors (not even calipers) was $2230!!! That’s absurd. These guys are completely dishonest. They charged me money for sending me text messages. They are a complete joke. Don’t use them. They lie and they over charge.
I would leave no stars if I could they broke a bolt in A bolt in my intake manifold tried to drill it out just left it for mine other mechanic to find. I thought my car was on the way out now. Seems to be running fine after I had that bolt replaced. they made a mistake and they wouldn’t even pay for the part that they broke let alone the price I had to pay for somebody to fix it. This place is far from honest stay away from them!
