A Neighborhood "dive" bar vegan joint? I'm in! Atmosphere is Portland Neighborhood friendly, but the food and the service is tremendous. I couldn't go just once! Some of the best vegan GF food I've ever had. And I'm not VEGAN! It was just good food! The novelty alone was worth it.
If I had to delete every Portland vegan restaurant except for one, this is the place I'd keep. Especially now that they've absorbed at least a little of the Sweet Hereafter menu
If you're looking for a vegetarian dining experience in Portland, Bye and Bye is an excellent choice. This restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere ideal for a pleasant dinner or a laid-back evening while savoring a variety of beers.
I had high hopes for this place. They have a great sounding menu and loads of outdoor seating. It’s counter service. You order at the bar. The food is ok. There’s nothing inherently bad about it but it’s pretty one note. My partner and I each got different bowls and we were both tired of them long before we finished eating all of it. The bathroom was dirty. Had we seen the bathroom before we ordered, we would have gone elsewhere.
Great bar in Alberta with a vegan menu! I’m used to only having a few vegan food options on a menu, so I was overwhelmed a bit by how many great choices Bye and Bye had. Ordered a few different things for our table and the favorite was definitely the buffalo soy curl wrap. Great selection of NA drinks as well. We visited on a trivia night and had a really awesome time. Can’t wait to be back!
