Cold food due to order pagers you can't hear over their live events, while they have order number stands right at the bar they refuse to use. Bar staff with attitude that either ignore you or act hostile over checking your tab status, staff also ignored multiple patrons telling them the heaters were off or out of propane in their "heated patio" event area, about an hour into the event which was still rolling for two more hours. It would be an alright venue for live music if the staff were booted, the crowd deserves better. Atmosphere is alright, maybe a bit too bright.

I am still in shock at the experience my boyfriend and I had Alberta St. Pub last night. I was met with the most hostile and dismissive treatment from two female bartenders last night after I made them aware that my food was cold and I wanted to send it back. The fries were cold and stale, my chicken sandwich was cold and stale, the same with my boyfriend’s food. It was obvious that the food had been just sitting for… a while. The bartenders initially tried justifying (arguing) that the food was cold because I didn’t take my buzzer. I was never given a buzzer. Actually, I didn’t immediately walk away from the bar for two reasons (1) I was calculating the tip I wanted to give, and (2) I had multiple drinks I needed to arrange in my hand to take back to the table for me and my boyfriend, so there was ample time for the bartender to give me a buzzer. Never happened. Once I explained that I was never given a buzzer, I asked for a refund to end the back and forth and go about my night. The bartender printed out a receipt that only had a total on it. There was nothing on it that described whether I was being refunded.. So I told her I wanted an itemized receipt because I wanted to see exactly what I was being refunded and/or what was paid for. My request escalated things, and my boyfriend and I had our drinks taken away and were told we have to leave. I am truly disappointed and will never give my business to this bar again.

Under new management. NO WAFFLE FRIES ! 3.5% processing fee on credit cards. No table service. Kitchen works hard tip them! Long bar lines due to only one bartender on a Saturday night with music. Outdoor heated patio w/ sports on the big screen.

Great little find in the heart of the King neihborhood. This place was packed. Saturday night, post show, we needed a waterin hole. Now after having a couple drinks in us, we didn't feel fancy, we just needed somewhere to land. Alberta Street Pub did not disappoint. The crowd was loud. Good vibes, happy people, everyone seemed to have the same vibe. Drinks did take a while, as the bar was busy... but that's a good problem to have. The bartenders did not miss that people were lined up for drinks - they made the wait worthwhile! Strong drinks, fairly expensive, but it's a pub on a Saturday night, what do you expect? The bar was packed, too much for my deaf self to hear anyone talk, so we resorted to the patio. Was a bit disappointed at the amount of people vaping. The air was thick with smoke and you could smell the cigarettes that people were smoking just outside of the patio. Overall, it's a grungy bar to land for some decent drinks late any evening. We'd stop by again if around.

Nice vibes, good drinks, and they have live music shows on Sundays (soulful Sundays) and a day during the week (forgot which). The outdoor hangout area is twice as big as the entire inside of the pub and it's nice and dry and toasty. Definitely recommend! The bartender is super sweet.
