Picked up some becky chambers and kafka. Owner was extremely personable, knowledgeable, and more than willing to help me find what I was looking for. The type of person you want to become friends with.
Finest Kind! Had a perfectly enjoyable time selling some old (but good! Important. Book stores aren’t junk repositories) books today. Joe pointed out exactly how one was not the first edition I wanted it to be, but rather a book club edition. Still, it had some rarity and value, and along with the others, I was glad to put a few bucks in my pocket while putting some century+ old books back out into circulation on earth. I browsed as well, and everything looks interesting. My new favorite bookstore, and I have absolutely no excuse for today being my first time.
Local bookshop run by a guy a who knows his business and knows how to handle customers. Its packed tight and well labeled. You can pick up anime trash or treatise on anarchism. If thats your jam, definitely make time for this shop on Belmont.
Lots of new and used selections with some really unique finds! It felt a little disorganized to me - had trouble locating sections and determining what was new or used but overall great value experience.
One of Portland’s many hidden gems and a Belmont staple. Love this independent book shop. Quirky and a little cluttered just like I like it. You never know what you’re gonna find and Joe has a free book bin right outside the door where some of my favorite collage materials have come from. They just expanded next door so now there is even more to look at, go check it out! You won’t be sorry you did.
