I had to change my review from yesterday. The doctors on the 14th floor are dope people. They took care of me the right way with passion and care. Other people may have bad experiences with the doctors here at OHSU but coming from me those people are tweaks. Not everyone is perfect but 97% of the staff I ran across are dope people! Alex who works in the emergency department the African American male, he deserves a few days off!! Hard working man I respect him! He went to another floor to get my lady whom who have cancer right now to get her a comfortable chair to sit in while she waited. That’s dope. Thank you OHSU for being dope people.!

More reviews on GoogleI just recently went to their ER and stayed in there overflow/pre opt area. In the entire time, I was there, they never made me feel like I was just a number, I was a patient. It was me and them against the problem. I always had a decision and I was always talked to, like I knew what was going on, not like I didn't. They kept me very comfortable and informed the entire time. I was there, their nurses and staff. Always let me ask as many questions as I wanted and answered them to the best of their ability. They were the only hospital that was willing to help me when I really, really needed help. Which is just amazing on its own. They also inform you really well before you go home and give you extras. If you need it! And the other thing that they did that was super awesome is they helped me and my dad find a place to sleep for the night before we had to go back to Pendleton. Thank you so much for taking care of me. I really appreciate it!
This hospital failed my father. They played with his mental and physical well-being during the most vulnerable time of his life. My father, Rodrigo Covarrubias, was diagnosed with cancer and underwent an extremely difficult surgery to remove the tumor. He was told by the surgeon that he would recover. Instead, his condition declined, and he passed away only a few months later on Christmas Day. The hospital blamed everything on the cancer, but our family knows that is not the full truth. The surgeon never saw my father again after the operation. He was treated like a case study rather than a human being. There was a lack of compassion, follow-up, and accountability throughout his care. Many mistakes were made , mistakes that could have been prevented. They played with his life, and the consequences were irreversible. My family will always say that we had a terrible experience here, and we would never recommend this hospital to anyone. My father was more than a patient. He was a father, a son, a brother, and so much more. He did not deserve to suffer the way he did, and the lack of accountability from this hospital is deeply unjust. If I could give zero stars I would.
I delivered my baby at OHSU and I feel so lucky to have had the very best delivery team and the most caring nurses in the NICU and mother&baby units. When I was in early labor, my entire delivery team came for a meeting with me and my partner to discuss my desired birth plan. They took the time to understand and respect our choices while also explaining every option objectively - always prioritizing my comfort and my baby’s safety. There were so many examples of nurses going above and beyond to provide encouragement and care, especially post-delivery. If you were in labor and delivery on December 1st, in NICU on 12/2 or on the mother&baby floor in the days following, we are forever grateful for you! Special love to Nurse Skye and Nurse Nikki 💕
My husband has been in ohsu for over two weeks going on the third .He had open heart surgery. and a calaped lung. Sometimes he gets good care by the nurses sometimes not. I don't know what's going on with him I live 55 miles away. They can't get the fluid off of his lungs he can't swallow as his throat hurts him he had asked for something for his throat but that goes on deaf ears. He has lost weight. He can't eat ! I don't know why they can't help him ..I'm afraid he's going to die there! When I call up there for a update on my husband ..they just say he's doing good ..I think he's not !! Don't go to this hospital it not a good one!! Ok
