The selection is good and the prices are alright but the highlight of this store is the folks that run this place. They are good eggs.

More reviews on GoogleIn the past year of living in Brooklyn, I've found MM to be a dependable neighborhood resource for day to day necessities. George, and the supporting staff are always welcoming. I rely on their services daily, and wish them continued success.
Staff is very friendly, always cheerful when taking my recyclables. So friendly, in fact, I'll end up spending the cash on their items.
I'd give zero stars, if I could. I've been going to this little market for over 10 years. The new manager refused to take my bottle return because the cans were all Shasta brand and Kroger brand. The max bottle return is 30 bottles per day. I knew that and I only bring in 30 bottles at a time, rinsed out and clean. They have been taking my returns for over 10 years, as I have lived in the neighborhood that long and shopped there that long. I would spend over $300 a month easily there, going in and getting random things. The manager (she) was aggressive, rude and unfriendly. I won't be spending my money there anymore.
Extremely rude for no reason. All I asked was if they had quarters. The woman seemed to not understand English and stated no quarters, but then said there's quarters for customers. I asked if I can get quarters if I purchase something then, since I'd be a customer. I completely understand businesses not just giving out quarters and am used to having to drop $10 on a purchase, first. No big deal. Rather than trying to communicate and bridge the language gap, she hung up on me then disconnected the store phone, so I could not call back. I was willing to purchase items, and I'm not sure why she wanted to lose a customer. I've also done customer service when I didn't speak the same language as my customer, and you're supposed to make an actual effort, not just hang up. Hopefully the area gets gentrified, and they get priced out.
